Finding our training ground

From the M4 - Leave the M4 at Junction 32, signposted Cardiff (N), then at roundabout to the exit signposted A470, continue on this road until you pass Whitchurch Golf Club on your left, then at the traffic lights turn left into Tyn-Y-Parc Road. Continue up road until you reach the traffic lights, then turn right onto Pont Bach Road, take the 2nd right onto Cae Gwyn Road then at the traffic lights turn right, back onto the A470 and then turn left into Whitchurch Lower school / Powerleague.

Please note the entrance to the school is via Manor Way, North bound. The back entrance to the school is closed at weekends and after 7pm.

Senior training

Senior training starts at 7.00pm runs to 8.00pm
Monday training at WIS 7-8pm for 1st Team squad and remaining teams will use half the pitch on a rotational basis

The sessions are coached by Vicky Sutton and there is also specialist goalkeeper training with Pete.  

An Introduction to hockey along with essential skills training is available and taken by Pete in the first 6 weeks of the season. This is to work with new recruits or members who need a refresher after the summer break.  

Youth training

Youth training starts at 6.00pm and runs to 7.00pm every Wednesday

13 years and under - training is on Tuesday nights at the school. 5-6pm under 11 boys and girls. 6-7pm under 13 boys and girls.
